George R. R. Martin portrait by Amok
As a special request, Amok produced a portrait of George R. R. Martin for the BwB in the same style as his ASOIAF portraits. An incredible likeness to George, the portrait includes some extra touches, including a NY Jets belt buckle and a turtle for the sword's pommel. Many thanks to Amok for creating this piece exclusively for the BwB Fan Club.

BwB Sigil by Mike Nelson
The basis of the sigil is a shield, with the top area, or chief, forming 7 points. These "points" represent the following:
  1. The 7 points form a crown atop the entire sigil. The crown represents our admiration and praise for GRRM. We believe the ASOIAF series is one of the greatest tales ever told, and that GRRM is a master storyteller. Crowns are worn by kings.
  2. There are 7 kingdoms in Westeros and 7 new gods
  3. There are 7 continents in our world. These 7 points represent the fact that we are all from all corners of the world, but come together in our fandom.
Read more about the sigil.

BwB Sigil by Tim Truman
For the 2003 BwB Worldcon commemorative t-shirt, the BwB commissioned famous artist and comic extraordinaire, Tim Truman, for an original design. Given that it was GRRM's first time as Guest of Honor at Worldcon, the imagery was perfect: Dragon skull, raven wings . . . a quill with blood for ink. A special thank you to Tim Truman and Parris for this gorgeous piece of art.

BwB Official Standard
Unveiled by Odiedragon at Noreascon 4 (Worldcon 2004) in Boston, this official standard holds the signatures of all knighted BwBers (or honorary knights) from past Gatherings, and will be there for all future Gatherings as a symbol of the Brotherhood. The banner is made of satin and fleece, and painted with fabric paint. The black fleece backing was included because the sigil looks better on black, and design-wise, there is no way to tastefully put a rod through the seven points at the top. The backing also makes it more durable - a big plus considering it has been all over the world. Many thanks to Odiedragon for contributing this work of art to the BwB for generations to enjoy.

The Hedge Knight Comic Book Ad
Mike Nelson went above and beyond to create this stunning advertisement for the Brotherhood without Banners, which was featured in issue #1 of The Hedge Knight by the Dabel Brothers. Big thanks to the Dabel Brothers for running this ad in their amazing comic adaption. Notice the Wall in the background?

ConJose 2002 BwB T-shirt
This running wolf is from Moria Peters, the fabulous artist responsible for most of the sigils that adorn the official ASOIAF t-shirts by Parris. It was the first year the BwB had t-shirts at their annual gathering, and the shirts turned out spectacular. The shirts promoted our attempt at a mock-Worldcon bid, called "Winterfell in 2005" - "Our Wall is bigger than Hadrian's!" Many thanks to Moria and Parris for helping us become "official" with t-shirts promoting our efforts.

Stark Sigil Ice Sculpture
To celebrate GRRM's Guest of Honor title for Torcon 2003 we decided to bring in something special to decorate the 3rd annual BwB party. Enter - the Stark sigil made of ice! Not shown: minutes prior, someone else's ice sculpture (a giant goldish) was mistakenly wheeled in to first "Awwwwwws" and then "Huhhhhs?" Overheard: "I was pretty sure the party wasn't supposed to be Tully-themed."

Noreascon 2004 BwB T-shirt
Drawn by Linh Ngo with design and enhancement by William, this is the t-shirt artwork for the 4th annual BwB Worldcon Gathering at Noreascon. The design celebrates the two-night party theme, "Winter fell . . . But Casterly Rocks!" Special thanks to Parris and Theo for their hard work in turning this artwork into a beautiful t-shirt (red).

Interaction 2005 BwB T-shirt
Designed by Skylark the Red, this Night's Watch shirt was produced in a very limited run for Interaction 2005 Worldcon in Glasgow, Scotland. The t-shirt was produced in many styles, including women T's. The shirt features the complete Night's Watch oath on the reverse with special permission from George. Find out how to get yours here.

Interaction 2005 BwB Ad
Created by Odiedragon, and generously funded by Dajamieson, this ad appeared in Progress Report 4 for Interaction 2005 Worldcon in Glasgow. The ad promotes the Night's Watch theme for the annual BwB Worldcon party, in addition to the BwB Fan Club and GRRM sites.

Interaction 2005 BwB Party Flyer
Designed by Needle, this flyer will not go unnoticed in Glasgow. Representing the Wall, and marketing the annual BwB Party, one will notice Skylark’s crow in the upper left hand corner, the Night’s Watch theme, the introduction of this BwB web site, and the most amazing raffle-prize yet, a first-edition U.K. A Game of Thrones. Many thanks to Fee for this beautiful piece.

Interaction 2005 Castle Black and the Wall Gingerbread
Baked and constructed by BranTheBuilder, this gingerbread depicting Castle Black and the Wall was on display at the BwB Night's Watch party at Worldcon 2005. The cake the castle was made out of was pefferkuchen, made to a medieval German recipe. Apart from this, the main ingredients were royal icing used as mortar, flaked almonds for the roof tiles, and icing sugar dusted over all as snow. Non-edible ingredients were the card roofs onto which the almonds were glued, the staircase (made of brown-painted straws), the tunnel entrance (half a cardboard tube), and some papier-mache on the base to hold the towers in place and give texture. The Wall was made by Jamie, in his freezer, two thicknesses of ice melted together. BranTheBuilder designed the whole thing to be faithful to the descriptions of Castle Black in the books, drawing particularly from the chapters where the wildlings assault it. Hence, the stables are in the right place in relation to the armory, and so forth.
